Currently, we only ship within the United States. All orders will be shipped within 5-10 business days via USPS Priority Mail.
You will receive an email with tracking once we ship your order, and you can expect to receive your item 3 days after shipping.
If you live near Catskill, NY and would like to pick your order up in person, email info@lail.design and we can arrange it.
EXCHANGES
We aren’t able to handle exchanges, but we accept returns for a full refund.
RETURNS
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery. Email info@lail.design to begin the return process.
The customer is responsible for:
-
Returning items in new condition.
-
Paying for return shipping costs.
-
Shipping via the original shipping method (USPS Priority Mail).
-
Shipping in the original packaging, and adding additional packing material if needed. You’ll know the pottery is packed adequately if the box could be shaken with nothing shifting inside. Always add more packing material than you think is necessary!
-
Shipping multiple items (if applicable) in separate boxes to avoid damage during transit. It is highly likely that putting multiple pieces in the same box will cause a break.
We will process a refund upon receiving returned items in acceptable condition. If a piece is returned to us broken or used, we are unable to provide a refund.
The following items are not eligible for a return: 10” Platters, 13” Platters, large pitchers, teapots, and dinner plates.
DAMAGED ITEMS
We take special care when packaging our products, but damages may occur during shipment.
If your order arrives to you damaged, please contact us immediately, and email info@lail.design a photo of the damaged product along with its shipping label so that we can contact our carrier for a claim.
LOST ITEMS
LAIL Design is not responsible for lost or stolen packages.
If an incorrect address is provided at checkout, we are unable to assist with rerouting the package. Please contact USPS for assistance.
If a package is returned to us due to a failed delivery, we will reach out to you to resolve the issue, and you may need to pay to ship the item again to the correct address.
MY PURCHASE DOES NOT LOOK AS EXPECTED
We mention on each of our product listings that as with any handmade item, variations in color, shape, and size will occur and should be embraced.
Each and every LAIL pot is hand-thrown on the wheel by Brad, and no molds are ever used. This means that no two pieces will be the exact same shape or size.
Colors may also vary from batch to batch, and even within the same firing depending on the materials sourced for the hand-mixed glaze, the thickness of glaze on each piece, and its location in the gas kiln.
LAIL follows a folk art tradition, and we believe this variation is one of the aspects of this handmade work that makes it so special and a conversation piece.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Our products are dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe up to 425 degrees.
Handwashing is encouraged. It’s more fun!
If using in an oven, we recommend placing the dish in a cold oven and preheating to prevent thermal shock.
Teapots are not meant for the stovetop.
Our ceramics have a semi-matte glaze, which is susceptible to cutlery marks. This residue is removable with a product like Bar Keeper’s Friend or some serious elbow grease.
WEDDING / GIFT REGISTRIES
We aren't able to create registries, but you are welcome to email us at info@lail.design with a custom order request. More info on that below!
